highlighter dressing part deux

ASOS aran jumper, polka dot top c/o Glamorous, vintage skirt

Erm, so this happened. Too much colour? Never. I picked up this orange skirt for $6 at a pretty fantastic vintage store in Toowoomba (above the big Lifeline store in town - heaven!) The skirt has a waffle-like texture and gives me major retro air hostess vibes which I LOVE. Mad Men meets Pan Am meets a double ended highlighter pen. Because who doesn't regularly relate their outfit choices to pieces of stationery? *awkward silence*

Also, for Brisbane/SEQ readers, if you've got a certain panache for putting outfits together then be sure to check out Westfield's Project: Street Style. Up for grabs is a $1000 gift card and momentary fame/glory/kudos. Just rock up to the Street Style Studio at Westfield Chermside on Thursday 23 or Saturday 25 August to be photographed in your best 'off duty' outfit. I'm not entering but if you do and end up winning, shout me some Kikki K stationery please? I'm running out of pens.

You can find more details on Project: Street Style here.

    1. I am just a tad obsessed with stationery. Pink and orange highlighters were always my faves. Never been a big fan of fluoro yellow.

  7. Wow, I love that skirt! I can never find any skirts with splits that don't look too business casual nowadays. That one is a hit! I also love the polka dot collar peeking out, nothing beats a good polka dot collar!

    1. Yes! I have family there and have been up recently over the past few weeks. I was wondering whether or not to give up the location because if word got out there might be less treasures for me haha.

    1. Usually I'd stay right clear of the pairing, but for some reason thought these two pieces were just meant to be.
