into the galaxy

Ever since Christopher Kane released his Resort 2011 collection full of nebulae prints, I've wanted to add some galaxy inspired clothing to my wardrobe. Unfortunately, many of the things I'd come across weren't really to my style. While others can pull off galaxy print leggings and bodysuits*, those things just aren't for me. This button up top, however, definitely fits the bill. I can't wait to layer it under bright knits and jackets this winter.

*At Laneway Festival earlier this year I saw a girl wearing a galaxy print long lycra bodysuit. True story. It reminded of the prom scene in Never Been Kissed where Leelee Sobieski's character wears that blue bodysuit/leotard thing.

  1. Well, this definitely looks more versatile than a galaxy print jumpsuit. Such a pretty print, and I love the crossover of the fabric on the back x

  5. I know galaxy prints have been in the trend for a very long time, but I've never been into the leggings (maybe because the price of them really puts me off). But I really love the type of galaxy print, looks really good on that top.

    1. I'm not a leggings person generally, so they never really appealed to me either. Although some of the prints do look pretty amazing.

  7. This top combines two things I love - galaxy print and collars! So pretty! Very different from the usual galaxy printed clothing you see and I'm always for different. :)
