tan silk shirts

Shirt: Sportsgirl via Ra Ra Superstar, skirt: DIY, bag: vintage, ring: markets, necklace: gift store in Nimbin (lol)

This skirt is by far the best thing I have ever made. I wear it way too often and it probably features on this blog a bit too much. I also think that this shirt is well on its way to becoming a well worn item of clothing. It's probably going to make many repeat appearances. Just thought I should warn you. Also, today is the last day of my Swimspot giveaway. Entries close midnight tonight, AEST.

  9. That skirt is so cute, I'm impressed you made it! I got a sewing machine for Christmas and I just started learning how to use it today. I can't wait until I learn how to make stuff for myself! For now, I'm going to stick to minor alterations.

Love your shirt, too, it's so chic and elegant. It seems like it would look great with anything.

  10. Love the shirt. I bought one from a Sussan of all places yesterday that I'm in love with. It's army green in a silk like cotton. It's the first shirt in ages that I've bought and fallen in love with.

  33. This outfit is lovely.
I have serious skirt envy. I've been after something like this for so long. Did you use a pattern for this, or was it a free-hand effort?

  34. I love the outfit, especially all the colours together! Great job on the skirt, I love the style! Collared shirts are the best. I keep wearing mine over and over.

  35. @wikigirl: have fun with that sewing bee. I'm sure you'll be a pro in no time at all!

@Feathers: sounds like a good plan. Hopefully you build up the confidence to make something soon though - I'd love to see one of your creations.

@Merowyn: that sounds like an awesome skirt!

@b: you should! it's quite easy once you get it all sorted out :)

@Hannah: wow! that was some time ago. Thanks for sticking around so long!

@Blackswan: YES! Excellent idea! I'm going to rummage for some red stuff right now!

@Sofie: haha, a DIY bag would be awesome though. Although I think you'd have to have some crazy leather working skills to be able to make such a bag *sigh*

@Taylor: It was basically free hand. It's just a basic full skirt with a waistband, but I just created the pleating detail before I sewed it all together. If that makes sense.
